Girl Scouts of the USA is the world’s preeminent organization dedicated solely to girls—all girls—where, in an accepting and nurturing environment, girls build courage, confidence and character, which makes the world a better place. In partnership with parents and other committed adults, girls develop qualities that serve them all their lives, like leadership, strong values, social conscience and conviction about their own potential and self-worth. And it's fun!

Girl Scout partnership with Dove Self-Esteem Fund

The Dove Self-Esteem Fund is collaborating with Girl Scouts of the USA to promote uniquely ME! The Girl Scout/Dove Self-Esteem Program, which addresses the important issue of low-self esteem among tween and teenage girls. In 2002, uniquely ME! was started in partnership with Unilever, the corporate sponsor of the Dove Self-Esteem Fund. Since then, the program has reached over 300,000 girls in the United States and Puerto Rico through council programs, troops, groups, events and print and online resources.

Dove, a brand of the Unilever Group, is launching a new campaign to continue communicating the importance of building positive self-esteem in girls. The purpose of the campaign, entitled, “Thank You for Making a Difference,” is to show the positive effects self-esteem programs have on girls, and to thank consumers for making a difference.

Girl Scout partnership with GEICO creates DASHboard Road
Safety Patch Program

For Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors

It may come as a surprise to many that traffic crashes are the number one cause of death among teens. Moving vehicles pose more of a threat than guns, suicide or disease. Mile for mile, teenagers are involved in three times as many fatal crashes as all other drivers, and hundreds of thousands of teens are injured in traffic crashes each year.

For the above reasons, Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta, in partnership with GEICO, has created the DASHboard Road Safety Patch Program for Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors.  The program addresses a variety of road safety topics - everything from distracted driving to car maintenance to road safety careers. Find out how your Girl Scout can make a difference on the road by earning the DASHboard Road Safety patch.

Girl Scouts partner with Microsoft for online safety

The LMK ("let me know") is an online safety campaign created in partnership with Girl Scouts of the USA and Microsoft. With the escalating popularity, increasing access to the internet and online technologies, it is important for teens and parents to be aware of the dangers that exist in cyberspace. The LMK campaign not only creates a space for internet safety experts and teen peer advisors, it also provides guidance about topics like cyberbullying and online sexual predators. The adult components of the campaign help teens to bridge the digital generation gap between themselves and their parents. The campaign includes an interactive Web site for teens, as well as an e-newsletter and Web site for adults.

LMK was created by the Girl Scouts and Windows to provide parents with the skills and knowledge to help keep their families safe online and to empower girls to become leaders of safe and responsible use of technology.

The LMK e-newsletter and adult site are designed to provide parents with timely guidance and also serve as a tool to help families have open and honest conversations about the dangers that lurk in cyberspace.

Subscribe to the newsletter, written by girls (ages 13-17), and be in the know about topics that teens are interested in. Each newsletter will help parents gather tips and tools to help keep their families safer online. Learn about texting, IM, social networks and even security features on a wide range of Microsoft products.
